Pike District Partnership Hosts Barks, Brews, and BBQ: A Dog-Friendly Beer Garden in the Heart of North Bethesda

[North Bethesda, Maryland] — [October 1, 2024] — The Pike District Partnership is thrilled to announce its third annual Barks, Brews, and BBQ Beer Garden a free, dog-friendly tail-wagging, hand-clapping, local brews and mocktail sipping good time at the Pike District Pop-up Park at Grand Park Avenue and Banneker Street, one block south of Old Georgetown Road.

Event Highlights:

  • Live Music: Hepcat Hoodie opens up the day featuring covers from the 60’s to today. The 19th Street Band returns this year as the event headliner bringing together Americana, country, and rock. They have made appearances at festivals including DelFest, Charm City Bluegrass Festival, National Cherry Blossom Festival, Annapolis Irish Festival, and Maryland Irish Festival. Their latest album is currently airing across 100 radio stations in Ireland and the UK.

  • Dog-Friendly Activities: Bring your furry companions to explore our dog play areas, snap some adorable pics at our Dog Selfie Station, and get creative at our Dog Ornament-Making booth! Visit our local vendors including Dogtopia, Paw by Paw, Petwell Clinic and nonprofit PetConnect with dogs looking to connect with their forever families.


  • Local Brews, Cocktails and Mocktails: Sip on local brews from Third Hill Brewing Co., 7Locks Brewing and Saints Row; enjoy a specialty cider cocktail, seltzers or mocktail from Vine Alley.


  • Savory BBQ: Bring your appetite to enjoy BBQ and more from Origins BBQ and Grubbing Hard BBQ.

The Pike District Partnership will collect donations to benefit Pet Connect, a local organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pets in need.

“We’re excited to bring the community together for a day of fun and furry companionship,” said,” said Pike District Partnership Executive Director Eugene Cornelius. “This event is a fall favorite and this year’s line-up of music, food and drink is a great way to celebrate the end of what has been a spectacular season of concerts, salsa dancing and yoga at our Pop-Up Park venue.”
